Attending: Me, M1, Ma & Jo, Eth, Ed. Ry-sensei instructing.
We did newaza-style warmups and drills - turnovers, hold downs, etc. Then we worked on some coil arm locks.
We started off with standard camora, opponent on their back. After that we did one from guard, in which you are in guard and opponent is attacking you. This requires pulling your opponent's arm straight to the side, then bending it behind at a right angle, and reaching over their shoulder (the one being attacked) with your opposite hand to clamp on the shoulder with your arm and apply camora.
Then we did one similar to the techniques D taught us last sumer, where you break the grip to go into an arm bar. In this case you are more specifically applying a coil to go into the arm bar. The hand closest to the head goes under/through and you grip yourself; apply coil by turning toward th ehead. Then when grip breaks, go for bar.
Kata on Saturday again, probably.
