We worked on hld downs and transitions first. Started with kesa-gatame transitioning to mune-gatame. Emphasis on leaning back when you are in kesa-gatame in order to engage the compression.
Then we worked on armlocks from kesagatame position. The first, from standard position, you take your left foot and place it on the right side of uke's head. Press your right knee in close. If you do it right, then arm will lock - and then you just need ot lean back a little, very slowly.
The second one was doing camora from kesagatame. If someone reaches up to you with your free hand while in standard position, put your left hand under theirs, and use this as leverage to bring their arm down - and grasp your own through - and bring it close to their body. In a lot of cases, you don't need to go full camora; they'll tap out regardless.
M2 had a black eye from Provincials. There was a situation where he was accidentally headbutted. They put him in a higher weight category, too. So. He did pretty good considering the challenges.
