Bloody hell, the only PMs and friend requests I get these days are from spammers and scammers.

That notification rush - "Oh, someone wants to talk! Oh, potential new fandom friend! :D" followed by "...Well fuck me, never mind". It sucks!

Ugggggh yeah, I remember when there was a plague of comment spam going around on AO3 and it was the worst! How could they ruin the pure dopamine rush that is a comment notification email?

I must say, I don't really see what the point of that kind of spam comment is. I think I read an explanation once, but it escapes me.
