Went to the Pride YMM meetup tonight. We talked things over a bit. The main thing that we (locally) can do right now re: the UCP is letter writing. There are tentative plans for a protest next month, but considering it's going to be a bit of time, we'll see if that actually happens.
And then I left early to go to judo.
Attending: Me, M, M2, A, Ch, + teenagers H, Kz, Ja. We also had a new guy, Co. V-sensei and N instructing.
Started off with 100 uchikomi. I partnered with A, and stuck with him for the rest of the class. Like previous, I tried to do 10 different throws, but wasn't quite as effective this time - somewhere along the way I lost track of which ones I had done, and forgot things. Will have to try to keep track better later.
Next, gripbreaking. We practiced the three typical ways for a bit, with breaks. It's getting a little easier for me, though I still have issues - not so much with breaking but with keeping my own grip. Bleh.
After that, throwing practice. We went slow and easy with it. Tried out a few different ones. I worked on sesai a bit; still find it tricky.
Overall, good class! Not as tiring as the last one.
