yuuago+ Came down with a cold yesterday. Spending time flopped on the couch isn't how I'd planned this weekend to go, but, well....
+ On the upside, I managed to get some writing done, and I'm really happy about it. This particular project is extremely self-indulgent (and very hot, but I repeat myself) so it's nice to make some progress with it, however small.
+ Random factoid: 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of organized judo in Canada. I had no idea it's been a thing over here that long. Neat!

power_handmaiden made a resolution to read and review 365 works from Chuck Tingle's oevre this year. So far, they've kept at it. Tinglers aren't really my thing, but I've been finding their bite-sized reviews pretty fun, possibly due to being written by a genuine enthusiast. (Speaking of Chuck Tingle, it turns out my library had Camp Damascus, so I checked it out - now, this is one of his works that I'm curious about reading myself.)
+ The online introductory accounting course I signed up for started a couple of weeks ago. I was worried that I would struggle with it (compared to the Excel & Word courses I took last year) but so far it's going pretty well. I do have to make sure to take detailed notes and do every single example exercise, otherwise it's hard to retain the concepts, but... yeah, not too bad!
+ One of my plans this year is to organize and catalogue my yarn stash. I have no idea how well that's going to go. :V For some reason, I've never really clicked with Ravelry's stash organizer; I've made multiple attempts to use it, but no dice. This time, I think I'll try just putting the details in a spreadsheet, see where that gets me. It would be nice to at least have some idea of what the heck I own, anyhow.
