Attending: Me, J, M, M2, Jo, and Ke. R-sensei instructing; V assisting.
Started with some throwing drills. Up and down the mat, balance breaking, turning in, etc. Ippon-seoinage and koshi-guruma.
I felt weird and clumsy, like my form was really off. We haven't done these in a while, and it's like I forgot everything, which... doesn't make sense, but there we are.
Partnered with J, who was using way too much speed and energy, as always. Not bad, though; he just needs to learn to slow down. (But so do I.)
Eventually worked up to full throws. We didn't bother with the crash mats, which was fine with me, because they kind of get in the way. It can be helpful when learning something new, but for this... nah, just regular mat.
Little bit of randori at the end. Went with J, who thoroughly kicked my ass - no surprise, because honestly, the practice took a lot out of me. It was also very warm in the gym today, which affected things. ...Anyway, I didn't get very far with him, lol.
Also did a round with V. That was... interesting. I haven't had a chance to go with him much. He's quite a challenge! Of course, by then I was totally exhausted and he was like "You're wearing yourself out too much", ha. Yeah....
Anyway. Good class, very fun. Glad I went.
