Finally finished knitting the colourwork cap I've been working on for a while. The pattern is by Churchmouse - it's this one - and I really like it. Just complicated enough to keep it interesting. Working with four colours was a bit of a challenge, but not too much. ...Though I wasn't a fan of having to weave in all those ends. Terrible.
I even blocked it, too! Instead of shoving it in the "to block" bin and ignoring it for... a year. Amazing what happens when I limit my stuff to small things that can be blocked on a folded towel, man.
I used the suggested yarn for it, Rowan Felted Tweed; never worked with this one before, but oh, I really like it. It's sturdy and rustic, but not rough.
While I was sorting through my patterns, I found the booklet of Sandnes Garn socks/mitts/hats patterns that Sea sent me ages and ages ago. One of these days I really will have to sit down and write at least one of them out in English - I know enough Norwegian to get the gist, but I'd have to look up the knitting-specific vocabulary to be sure of it all.
Also. Discovered yesterday that the local yarn store has closed for good. It's such a bummer; that means that the only option left if I need something quick is... Wal-mart. Ew. Aside from that, it's ordering online, or nothing. Can't have anything cool up here, man. :T
Ah, well, not that I need anything new anyway; I'm trying to work through a stash as it is. Next project is going to be socks! (Probably.)
