yuuago+ Will be working overtime for most of the upcoming week. I don't mind doing extra work, and the fat paycheque is going to be nice, but it's a drag how it cuts into my free time. Not to mention, my brain's gonna' be scrambled eggs. Lovely.
+ When we were in Calgary, my uncle gave my mom a big bin of my grandmother and great grandmother's personal effects to sort through. A lot of it was old photographs. It's been nice to look through them, see pictures of my grandmother as a little kid and that sort of thing. I had hoped we'd find more info about my great grandmother's family - like, we know she had a brother, but we don't know his name or what he looked like... There wasn't anything on that front, but we did turn up some photos of her sister, which was nice. Anyway, I'm going to have to scan all of these. (Hundreds of them... in my vast amounts of free time. Uh. Maybe that'll be a project for the new year.)
+ Oh noooo it's around that time of year when I want to try new dessert recipes.... I've been meaning to make this cherry clafoutis (it's more of a summer dessert, but ehhhh I'm down for cherries at any time), and these peanut butter and banana oatmeal cookies look really good, and there's also an orange-and-fig cake I've been aching to try. Hopefully after the current rush comes down I'll be able to do something fussy and indulgent. :V
