Mundane things

yuuagoA week and copious amounts of tea later, and I'm feeling much better. Still very tired, but that's all right.
Usually, it's hard for me to keep from overexerting myself at times like this. I keep wanting to go go go, taking walks when I shouldn't. But I've been forced to stay inside whether I like it or not - early in the week a forest fire started up nearby. The municipality has it under control, but there has been a lot of smoke hanging around. Gross. Every time I've had to go out, it's, "Okay, am I coughing because of my cold, or because of the smoke?" All the better for my recovery, then, that I've had to stay indoors. Bleh.
Wrote today! Actual writing, not editing. For the first time in a while. I set up on the couch, cuddled up beneath my down-filled blanket, and put down a couple pages on an in-progress thing that I've been ignoring for ages. Doing it that way felt so luxurious (and also really good). Funnily, I thought that this story was a re-tread of stuff that I've done before, but I took a look back through my writing journal this evening, and there's nothing similar on there. It could be that I've written and re-written this thing in my head so many times that it just feels like it's already been published. WELL... I hope to get it actually written by the end of the year, because I do need to send something to this beta reader that I won services from. ;P
Been looking through the Yuletide exchange requests. Lots of neat things in there! Some possibilities for light and fun treats. Hopefully the right combination of energy/creativity/time will hit me. <3
