+ I had thought that the play I wanted to see was sold out, but it turns out there are still tickets available. Lucky me. Now that's all sorted, and I have something to look forward to. :V

+ [/looks at to-do list] [/looks at the amount of time available] I have no idea how I'm going to manage all this. Anybody want to come over and help me clean my house? ;V Or edit this fic for me, maybe. (Kidding, kidding.)

+ Speaking of being busy, those of us who have ~family obligations~ this upcoming long weekend - I hope you'll have an enjoyable time, or at least a tolerable one. How the hell is it Thanksgiving already?

+ Sometimes I search for my fandoms on DW, and the stuff that comes up just makes me stare at the screen and go, "What in fresh hell is this?" Quite an experience.

Congratulations on getting a ticket.

I hope the things you discover are pleasant surprises and that kind that makes you raise your eyebrow and question what the f is wrong (that's my usual reaction but with tumblr)

The surprises I encounter are usually the kind where like... people who know nothing about the fandom are making grand pronouncements of it, and everything comes out very weird. Not surprising when it's a canon that's been running for over a decade, but still very strange.

Something that make me less invested in fandom these days are all the weird headcanons people have for characters in regards to their mental well-being and their gender. But it gets really weird if these headcanons turn into a fanon.

Dunno ... I understand why they do that but I can't see the appeal of it. I have my own package to deal with but I would never project my own struggling onto a character and declare my fav suddenly 'this' or 'that'. Especially when it is obvious from the canon material that the character is not 'this' or 'that'.

That is part of why I'm glad I live on tumblr nowadays mostly in my wrestling bubble (sure some headcanons appear there as well but that is sparse) and stay away from my s main fandom on there as good as possible because the headcanons are so weird it gives me the creeps. [and my fandom has weird canon material to being with]

Oddly enough you can get as freaky as possible and I'll probably accept it or shrug my shoulders.

I guess I'm just too old for the tumblr generation of fandom.
It's funny that when it comes to my main fandom I feel the most at online home in the subreddits for it.
