yuuagoAha! I just found out that there's an upcoming English release of 1794|The City Between Bridges.
This is the sequel to Niklas Natt och Dag's 1793|The Wolf and the Watchman, a gritty skandikrim novel set in late 18th-century Stockholm. I enjoyed the first novel a lot (though with one or two reservations). Mostly, I loved the way the setting was a character in itself, in all its grimy glory, and I wanted to spend more time wallowing in it.
I was starting to think that there might not be an English release at all, since the first one came out quite a while ago and there'd been no sign of anything since then.
So! Looking forward to this! Even if it's... quite a wait. Won't be coming out until 2023, ouch. Buuuut I've been patient so far, and the library's likely to get it once it's available, so I'll just sit tight until then.
