Very brief thoughts on MAG 180 under the cut.
Mikaele Salesa?!!
And Annabelle, too, but like. Whaaat. I thought he was supposed to be dead?!
This episode had some really nice banter between Jon and Martin. And all that "I have no idea what comes next! :D" from Jon was really funny. Not to mention that bit where they meet Annabelle and Salesa and then just... pass out, it was pretty damn funny. I did not expect such good comedic timing here.
In general, I've been finding Season 5 kind of weird. Like, there are some things that I really liked - Jon and Martin's banter, Helen's everything, some of the statements and/or avatars they run into, especially that one episode with the Dark and the children's fears and the dilemma of what to do about an avatar that's also a kid. But there are some things that I don't like about this season, but I'm not actually able to figure out what those things are, at least not yet.
There were also a few episodes that just kind of fucked me up, so I can't judge them effectively. Like that one with the apartment building that was on fire - I thought I would be okay, but I was certainly not. Which isn't to say it was bad - in fact, I'd say it was a pretty effective episode - but uhhh. Yeah. That one was Not For Me. And then that episode with the Lonely/Martin's domain, with the house, it reminded me too much of certain periods in my life that I would rather not think about. So, yeah. Some interesting experiences with the episodes there.
Anyway. There are so few episodes left, and I'm kind of dragging my feet when it comes to listening to the rest because I don't want it to be over. :'D
