yuuagoI see that I am continuing the trend of being irritated by other people who enjoy my favourite character/pairing. Happens in every fandom! I should have expected this!
Okay, okay, when I give it a moment's thought, it makes sense that Michael would appeal to a certain type of really grating person. Probably even for the same reasons that I like him/it. But, still. SIGH.
(And to be fair, it's not EVERYBODY. I guess I just happened to run into some obnoxious posts today. Or something.)
Addition: read some fic today. "A Wrong Door at the Right Time" by storyandshark. It's some low-key Sasha/Michael, and it's a fix-it tagged with "just some self-indulgent bullshit tbh", and let me tell you it's exactly the kind of self-indulgent bullshit I wanted to read. :D
The basic premise is similar to something that I wanted to write myself - the general layout of the fix-it, also Michael showing up in her house and it being creepy at first and then not - but if I write the one that I want to write, the execution will be different, so that's all right. It won't be the same story. Honestly, I'd happily read twenty stories for this pairing with this basic premise.
It was also really interesting how it touched on the Distortion and Michael - how they are one and the same and yet they aren't, how their goal is the same because they are the same and yet they aren't so it isn't.
Anyway... I just love the thought of him bringing her flowers. It's so sweet and cute.
