Reading Wednesday
May. 27th, 2020 12:37 pmFinished reading: Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset. I didn't care much for the characters in this, but it was very worth the read for the setting (14th-century Norway).
Currently reading: Pink Blood: Homophobic Violence in Canada by Douglas Victor Janoff. I bought this shortly after it was published in 2005, and carted it with me from Nova Scotia to Saskatchewan and then back home, and all that time I couldn't even bring myself to crack open the cover. But I'm taking the time to do that now. Not very far into it yet - I think I'm going to have to take breaks with it. Period-wise, it emphasizes the '90s and very early 2000s - so, everything was current (ish) at the time.
Also currently reading: Egil's Saga, attributed to Snorri Sturluson, translated by Pálsson & Edwards. I've been wanting to sink my teeth into some medieval nonsense for a while, so here we are.
Reading next: I have no idea, but whatever it is, it'll probably be something light and vaguely trashy.
