Reading Wednesday
Apr. 8th, 2020 09:37 pmJust Finished: Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch. I don't give a fig about the magi part of the plot, but the tricking and scheming and election-rigging bits were all good fun. Definitely will read the next one in this series, whenever it comes out.
Currently Reading: Tove Jansson: Life, Art, Words by Boel Westin. A light and breezy read so far, but I'm just in the beginning parts. I didn't grow up with Tove Jansson's work; it wasn't until I took a class on comics as literature that I encountered the delightful Moomintrolls. But I really did enjoy that a lot, and I'm looking forward to learning more about the author - and all the writing and art that she did in addition to the Moomin-related things.
Reading Next: Sweden in the Seventeenth Century by Paul Douglas Lockhart. What it says on the tin. Even though I find this period really interesting, my knowledge is kind of embarrassingly thin, so we'll see where this takes me. Whether any of it will stick is questionable, though.
