Knitting etc
Feb. 15th, 2020 09:55 pmWhy is it that every time I go to knit something new, I realize that I don't have the correct needles for it? :|
Anyway. Finished the Woolenberry "Rosewater" shawl that I'd been working on. Or, well, finished to a degree, anyway - won't be able to block it until summer.
Had intended to cast on for River City Not Flying fingerless gloves, but... that will have to wait until I get the right needles.
So, ended up casting on for a DROPS Serene Skies Hat. Pattern here. Working it in a natural shade of the DROPs Air yarn, which is very fluffy and soft.
This hat is worked flat. Some people have modified it to be done in the round, but since I've never knitted a hat flat before, I figured I might as well try it. I don't expect seaming it will be difficult. The pattern isn't the clearest that I've ever seen, but I think I have it down, though I might need to restart a couple of times (typical for me). We'll see how this goes. :V
