Reading Wednesday
Oct. 30th, 2019 07:38 pmJust finished: Justinian's Flea: Plague, Empire, and the Birth of Europe by William Rosen. About the Plague of Justinian* which happened around 541-542 CE. Spends more time talking about Justinian and the Eastern Roman Empire than it spends talking about the plague itself, but that's all right. Still found it pretty interesting.
Currently reading: The House We Grew Up In by Lisa Jewell. I like the way this author writes fucked up families, and this novel is certainly delivering. Though, one of the characters in this is a hoarder, and reading through it kind of gives me the uncontrollable desire to remove all of my possessions and clean the house from top to bottom.
Reading next: Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. :)
Reading after that: I realized yesterday that I had made a goal for this year to read 20 books that I own (as opposed to library books). So far I've only read 6. Uh... better get on that.
