I've been having vague cravings for some Jane Austen for a while now, but I can't decide which book to pick up. Thoughts?

* Pride and Prejudice - Read this one three times already. Would happily read it a fourth.

* Sense and Sensibility - Read this once for a class. Can't remember a single thing about the plot or characters, but I do remember that I enjoyed it.

* Emma - Read this once. Didn't like it. Thought the protagonist was kind of annoying, and the plot didn't interest me. But I was really stressed out at the time, so maybe I just wasn't in the mood.

* Persuasion, Northanger Abbey, and Mansfield Park - Never read any of these, and have no idea what they're about. (Don't spoil me!)

Suggestions? :) Do you have a favourite?

Northanger Abbey's my favorite! Which is a bit of an unpopular opinion, in my experience—people tend to put either Northanger Abbey or (more frequently, I think?) Mansfield Park at the bottom when listing all of the Austen novels from most to least favorite. But I find it charming and love it dearly. It has my favorite Austen main character, my favorite Austen love interest, and the story itself is fun too.

Northanger Abbey is really funny and a great Halloween read. It's probably tied with Persuasion for my fave Austen. Read Persuasion if you want to read some HIGH GRADE pining.

There's also Lady Susan, which is a novella she wrote by never published. It's made into a delightful movie with Kate Bekensale called Love and Friendship.

I voted for both P&P and Persuasion, because I remember really enjoying Persuasion even though I can't remember the plot at all now. And P&P is just...well, you know.

I started reading Northanger Abbey once but didn't really get into it. Might be a case of wrong book for the time though, I should try again.

Late but having not read all of them, I remember being surprised by how funny and charming Northanger Abbey was so yay! (That or reread P&P :D)
