+ This weekend was exhausting and full of communicating with people, blah. And writing did not happen. But I can't bring myself to care overmuch.
+ I've been to the dentist five times in the past month and a half, but thankfully all the cleanings and fillings and nonsense are done. I don't mind going, but I would rather not go so often, thank you. Yesterday was the last one - getting fitted for a night guard; not sure if it'll actually help with all the teeth grinding that I'm apparently doing, but we'll see.
+ There was some kind of handicraft fair in town, so I took mom down there so we could see what's what. Ended up coming home with a beautiful landscape painting by an artist who'd come up from Saskatchewan. You can see some examples of his work here, but the online versions don't do it justice - they're a hell of a lot more vivid in person. Anyway, I'm really pleased with it, and very glad that I actually have the wallspace for it (I was waffling forever because I was worried there wasn't suitable room.)
+ Tea acquired: a lovely black + chamomile mix. Black tea is not usually my poison of choice but oh my, this blend is really good.
+ Is anyone else looking forward to Doctor Sleep? I've marked the release date on my calendar (Nov 08). Saw the trailer when I went to see IT: Chapter Two, and thought it looked neat. Had not previously read the novel, so I'm going through it now; about halfway through. Liking it so far, and I'm really interested in seeing how the adaptation will go. :D

Date: 2019-10-07 09:00 am (UTC)That tea sounds super nice! I wouldn't've thought to put black with chamomile, but I was recently surprised by a black with juniper so maybe I should reevaluate my black tea prejudices :D

Date: 2019-10-07 12:02 pm (UTC)It issss. It's a riff on an Earl Grey with jasmine + juniper so they called it Brave New Earl. We maybe bought it just for the pun.
