Oh man, Riit has a new single out, and it's totally awesome. Give it a listen: Qaumajuapik

A chill electronic beat + lyrics in Inuktitut + throat singing, what's not to love? :D

The self-titled EP she released a while back was much different - it had a very light, kind of folksy sound - so this is a turn I wasn't expecting. I like it!

Apparently she has a full-length album coming out later this year. I can't find a release date, though, so it looks like I'll have to keep my eye on this one.

!!!!!! This is fab. I really love the combo of chillwave + throat singing. And her voice is lovely *_* I'm not saying we'd win Eurovision if we sent this (and if we were in it at all) but like, we'd totally win Eurovision. At least definitely make it to the finals!
