Eurovision - Final

Jotting down a few thoughts while they're fresh -

- Netherlands? Really? ...I do not see the appeal AT ALL, how on earth did this song get so many votes?! Well, looks like they're hosting next year....

- Norway was robbed.

- Spain deserved better.

- I'm surprised Australia didn't place higher; their act was amazing.

- Very surprised that Italy received so many votes.

- Germany fully deserved the 0 audience votes it received.

- Vague desires for Eurovision-centric APH fic are mostly limited to silly Den/Sve right now. Probably nothing will come from that.

Aaand that's all until next year!

Yeah, the Netherlands entry bored me and seemed pretentious. At least they didn't blind the poor guy with the glowy thing again for the reprise. Our family uniformly liked Norway's entry. Though, with Australia's, I'd suggest that their act was by far the best facet of their performance (if for "best" we read "strangest"!); that must have been tricky to do. The chorus bits of Italy's weren't too bad but I thought even Malta's song better (and Greece's, if we include another strange act!) even if the resulting scores say differently.

It seems like responses to Netherlands' entry are either "I liked it" OR "If the piano isn't on fire, what's even the point?" :D
