☆ Augh, it snowed overnight again! Ah, well. On the one hand, I'm really ready for warm weather, but on the other, I know that spring won't come for at least another month, and it's for the best if things don't warm up too much yet. Early spring means lots of ice and everything that comes with it. Awful.
☆ I had things I was supposed to do last night, and I spent that time writing fanfiction instead. I regret nothing! But at the same time I have so many regrets! It was good fun, though. ;)
☆ In By Gaslight, there's this one section centred around a military balloonist, and... while I'd heard of the use of air balloons in 18th and 19th century warfare, I never really gave it any thought. But it sure seems interesting. Really, the history of aerial navigation is a fascinating subject that I know very little about. So this is my note-to-self - read up a bit on that, maybe use it in a story at some point, who the hell knows.
☆ New goal for the year: Complete the Norwegian tree in Duolingo by the end of the year. I usually don't like adding resolutions to my list, especially so far into the year, but this one seems like something I could easily manage (I'm about 30% through the tree already). And considering I was planning to cram Norwegian anyway... well. ;) Obviously, there are a lot of things that it won't help me with, but I do find that Duo is useful for like, vocabulary drills, and getting me in the mood to think about the language in general. ...Especially when I write something that I know is correct, but end up getting wrong because I used a synonym rather than the specific word the course was actually looking for, pffft.
I hope you all will have a wonderful weekend!
