☆ Schedule for Chocolate Box Exchange is up! Voila. Noms open on December 18th. I'm pretty excited. I'm still not sure if I want to participate, but... oh, hell, it's only 300 words, and I do love this little exchange, so I'll probably do it. :D

☆ Fandom Trumps Hate has posted some preliminary details for 2019 here. It seems that they have plans to run the auction on Dreamwidth this year; the comm is fandomtrumpshate, but they haven't put any information up yet, so see the tumblr post I linked for more details. Creator signups will open on January 6th in this upcoming year; previously, they opened in December. I think I will participate in this again. Last year, I had two fic slots; I'm not sure if I will do two again, or just one. I did complete both of my fics, and the recipients seemed to like them, but doing two felt like a bit much! But then again, maybe I was just nervous about putting together something that they would like. At least I have some time to think about it.

☆ Noms for wwiexchange will be open Jaunary 1-10. I won't be participating in this one because I don't have enough canons to request/offer, but I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on the requests. Who knows, maybe I'll pick up some new canons from this. :D

☆ I'm really glad that I decided to sit Yuletide out this year, but not gonna' lie, I'm getting a kick out of scrolling through the list of fandoms that already have fic uploaded for it (here). Lots of neat things already! And two for NiF, wow, nice! I'm looking forward to fic reveals. :D

Chocolate Box is always a fun exchange for me. I always seem to treat more than ever with the smaller exchanges!

I'm currently molding my Yuletide story into something a bit more finished, polishing the rough edges etc

Yeah, same; there's something about the bite-sized minimum that makes it so excellent for treating. :D

Chocolate box!!! I'm definitely planning on that one, even though I always dread writing exchange letters. I'll have to throw some nominations in.

As for FTH...I'm not even sure I'm eligible to do it again, since I failed to fulfill one of my offers last year and I'm too full of dread to try to reconnect with that person. Maybe I'll do a round of cheap commissions for charity at some point instead - that'd take away the anxiety of working with people I don't know. In any case, I hope they have a good turnout this year even with everything in flux.

Honestly, you could probably get away with not doing a letter for this one... if you copypasted some general likes + your dnws into the prompt box, that'd cover it for an exchange like this?

If you didn't complete your previous FTH, then yeah, I don't think you're eligible to offer services this year. Charity commissions sounds like a wonderful idea, though! And you can do them on your own time/schedule and target them specifically at stuff relevant to your interests/local causes/etc.

Speaking of you + commissions, I can't remember, do you typically only do series you know, or do you not mind doing series you are unfamiliar with as long as there are plenty of references? :Va (Nothing in mind now, but like, so I know for future.)

Oh! Yeah, I can do commissions for whatever series (or OCs) as long as there are references. I figure if there's any fandom-specific info I need to know, I can always ask the commissioner to clarify. ^_^

I should remember check out this year's yuletide, just from a reading perspective.
