☆ Prompting is currently finished for
femslash_kink, and that means it's open for fills now! I might see if I can whip something up. Right now, they haven't finished putting together the prompt list yet, but since the comm has paid time, the comments are searchable if you log in.
☆ Is anyone thinking about doing Chocolate Box Exchange in the upcoming year? I'm on the fence about it. The schedule hasn't been posted at
chocolateboxcomm yet, but noms usually open in the middle of December, so I'll have to think about it a bit in order to get the ducks in a row.
☆ One of these days, I'm going to have to figure out how Pixiv Fanbox works so I can support Inko on there... she keeps mentioning that she posted something-or-other and I'm like damn, I want to see! Haha. Her art is so lovely and her fancomics are bilingual, bless her! It probably isn't any more complicated to set up than Patreon; it's just the language barrier is a thing and I get antsy about accidentally screwing something up. But I'm sure once I sit down and look at it, it'll be self-explanatory. (She posted some medieval Den/Nor today and it's behind a paywall and. I just. FUUU)
☆ Grabbed a few new knitting patterns recently:
Erasure shawl
come Pisa shawl
Little Pisa cowl
One of these might be my next project. I have two skeins of lovely charcoal grey yarn that I picked up in Victoria that might work well for Erasure; it's a bit heavier than the yarn used in the example (fingering vs light fingering weight) but at least I have the right yardage. And I have two options for the cowl right now - I have a natural cream, or a coffee-brown, either could do. The texture would probably show up better on the cream, I think.
And also, I kind of want to make this Latvian cowl - I have a couple of contrasting balls of Cascade yarn that have been sitting in my stash for years that would be perfect. I dunno', though - they're deep brown and burnt orange... Would that suit, d'you think? (And which would be better as the main colour?)
Of course, I can't start ANYTHING new until I finish working on this blanket. It's possible that when I'm finished, I'll never want to look at another pair of knitting needles ever again! ;p

Date: 2018-11-24 05:38 pm (UTC)As for the cowl, I think deep brown and burnt orange would go good together in that pattern! I tend to like it better when more neutral colors are the main color, so I vote the brown for that. /my two cents
