Note to self: Fests & Exchanges

yuuagoDecided to do an updated list of ongoing and upcoming fandom things that I have my eye on. I could just write these on my calendar like a normal person, buuut... nah.
Outstanding Assignments
☆ Fandom Trumps Hate assignment #1: Laufey's fic. The draft is complete.Next step: Type it up! No time estimate on when the story itself will be done, but I think I'll try to have the fic typed by the end of the week. [Edit] It's all typed up and ready for editing!
☆ Fandom Trumps Hate assignment #2: Kiraly's fic.Draft is still maybe 40% done; no progress made. I should re-read what I've written to see where I'm at. [Edit] This one is drafted! Now I just need to type it up. [Edit Oct 11] Sent to beta, whoo!
☆ Fandom Trumps Hate bid betawork:The fic is complete, and I sent it off to Kiraly so that she can look at in order to fulfill her assignment. I haven't checked her comments yet. Point is, this story is almost done! (YAY) I just need to look at her revs, do some fixes, get her to look at it again, and then done. Probably. Complete and posted! Yay!
Ongoing Events
☆ VKC Shipping Month: September 01 - 30. I'm looking forward to seeing what people will come up with for this!I don't know if I will be able to do anything, but I'm going to try. Or... I think I have a couple of wips. Maybe I could finish them. [Edit] I managed to dust off the straitjacket fic and finish it! Yay!

trickortreatex: September 11 - signups open. I don't think I'll sign up for it, but I'm going to keep my eyes on requests. ...I did toss some noms in though, just in case I change my mind.
☆ SuNor Zine: September 25 - Signups close. I ended up signing up for this. :D Since the guidelines are posted, I'm going to try to get something written, hopefully before it closes (it's just nice to have a deadline). I have vague ideas for something set during the Kalmar Union. Also have some idea for something during the Northern Wars, though the specific idea I have might be too dark for this particular project. Maybe I could come up with something different set during the same time period.
☆ HWD Halloween Event: September 25 - Signups close.The date and details are not revealed yet, but I'm interested in this; I guess I'll have to wait for more details. I heard that it might be an exchange rather than a fest/challenge like the OTP event. My previous experience with Hetalia-specific exchanges has been so-so, but depending on the wordcount minimum I'm interested in trying again. I signed up for it. :) Looking forward to my assignment.
☆ Netherlands/Denmark Week: October 09 - 15. I only found out about this recently, but I'm looking forward to it. I like this pairing a lot, but I rarely have any ideas beyond modern fluff/17th-century porn/Battle of the Sound historyfic, so maybe having some prompts will help?
☆ Yuletide 2018 - October 10th - signups start. I'm not signing up, but I do want to write a New Years Resolution, ideally before signups end. And of course I'll be keeping an eye on the letters in case anything interesting comes up.
☆ Sweden/Norway Week: October 30 - November 05 if the dates are the same as last year. I wonder if it will change, since the people running the zine are the same people who run the week. :|a
☆ Fandom Trumps Hate: December 15th - Signup, if date is same as last year. Whether or not I sign up depends on whether I finish my previous assignments in time.
