It's always a wonderful feeling when you're watching a film in your target language, and not only do you notice that the subtitles don't match what's being said, but you can understand what the actors are actually saying.

In this case, the subtitles were summarizing for the sake of space; the meaning was pretty much the same, just not a direct translation. But I'm very happy that I caught it at all.

I guess I should work on this a bit more - my audio comprehension is frankly atrocious. But, that's something to investigate later. ;)

Unrelated: Aghhh I keep stumbling on words that I learned first in Danish (via osmosis or whatever) rather than Norwegian. I keep parsing af rather than av (of), and things like farve rather than farge (colour). I'm sure I'll hammer down the correct one eventually, but in the meantime, things like this can make it a bit inconvenient with machine learning. ;p I'm sure there are probably some words where I've osmosed the Swedish version of it rather than Norwegian, but I can't think of any at the moment, hmm.
