Little break + Exchange things

Today was nice. Too hot, but nice. Had breakfast out, got the groceries done early, and lazed around and did chores on and off the rest of the day. 'S good.

I'm going to be taking a page out of hokuton_punch's book and cutting my internet time dramatically. I have borrowed way too many things from the library, and there's no way I'll get through them all otherwise. ;)

Though it's also partly because of my computer; this thing throws so much heat, it makes my room unbearable in summer! And that's with a cooling pad. (In fact, it won't run at all without it.) Ahh, technology.

I suppose it would help with the RSI issues as well. Writing one journal entry is not a problem, but anything more than that, well... Better to avoid it, I guess.

So, with the above in mind, it's likely that I'll miss some things. If there's something you think I should see/would be relevant to my interests/whatever, it's best to PM it to me or something. Not to mention, tumblr certain sites haven't been showing notifications properly as of late, so... who the hell knows, man. BUT, Dreamwidth comments always come through. Ahhh, dear DW; it's creaky but dependable.

Anyway.

parallelsfic and multifandomdrabble both have signups open, but I'm going to wait until I have my offers sorted out before I fill in that signup form. And I was looking forward to Parallels, but now I'm feeling oddly self-conscious, somehow. Worried that I won't be able to write something satisfactory, maybe, considering everything that I would be offering is stuff I've never written prose fanfic for before. Whether I'll get over myself and sign up anyway, or just let it go, is something that remains to be seen. ;)

(It's also possible that the idea of doing something with a deadline exhausts me. I don't know. It might be that.)

And now... it looks like the subbed version of episode 08 of DWGL has dropped. Guess I know what I'm going to be watching while I paint my nails. ;)
