"Are you comfortable?" she asked. And I thought to myself, mate, you've got a clamp on my mouth, of course it ain't no picnic.

In other words, I had to go uptown at ass o'clock in the morning to get a cavity filled. Grumble, grumble, they keep telling me "Wow, your teeth are so clean!" but this stuff happens anyway. I inherited soft teeth, alas.

Anyway. After that, spent a good part of the day in the library. It was nice, just sitting there reading. I should do that more often. Bring an enviromug full of coffee from home, find a good seat, and just stay there and read or write. It's a lot quieter than home. Fewer interruptions.

Been having difficulty with my hands again. So, trying to reduce screen time. Probably for the better, anyway - I've been feeling cranky, overstimulated, and irritable lately. This will help on all fronts.

Writing by hand is still fine, so I'll be doing some of that - more poetry mostly! - but if I do any prose, it will be quite a while before I can type any of it up. Which is fine by me, because I still feel apathetic about revising prose right now. "Oh, on paper the story is finished, that's good enough, I don't care to edit it". And so on.

That's about the shape of things right now.

Ooof, I feel your pain on that dental visit - I'm getting a crown tomorrow, which will also involve getting up at ass-o'-clock and an uncomfortable couple of hours. And same, my dentist has told me several times about how nice/clean my teeth are, but apparently a combination of nocturnal teeth grinding and whatever the fuck switch flipped in my mouth when I went to college has left me with some messed-up molars. At least once I get this one fixed, the worst of my "this is more filling than tooth" areas will all be taken care of.

Sucks to hear about that though, it's so frustrating to have less-than-perfect teeth through no fault of one's own. :T
