Reading Wednesday
Apr. 25th, 2018 08:45 pmJust Finished: Savage Continent: Europe in the Aftermath of World War II by Keith Lowe. Thorough. Also graphic. But I do appreciate the way he set out and discussed everything. Of particular interest to me is the section discussing eastern Poland/western Ukraine in detail... With regards to this, that area is relevant to me for personal reasons, and I sort of had a vague idea about it, but most things I'd come across devoted only a couple of paragraphs to what happened there. I have a better understanding of it now. So, I appreciated reading about this, even if it was horrific.
Reading Next: Something from the Stack Of Stuff, probably. I'm sort of trying start from the bottom - the things that have been sitting around unread for the longest period of time - and move up from there. We'll see how this goes. Off the top of my head, it'll probably be either something about Swedish history, or that one book about the Northern Wars, or some random Canadian history that I've had kicking around for ages.
