More driving whining, sorry.

So, I haven't managed to drive anywhere in about a week, because my parents were busy. Fine.

Took a drive down to the library this evening, and I just... ugh.

It was very difficult to maintain lanes, because the lines were less visible than normal. I think perhaps the slushy weather we've been having lately has resulted in a lot of loose sandy mud in the street, which obscures everything. So. That was... not fun.

Maybe it would have been easier in the daylight. But... most of the time, I'm not going to be driving in the daylight. So. That doesn't matter much.

SIGH.

On the upside, I didn't do too badly. My lane changes were decent, speed maintenance was fine. No turning issues. Only thing that was iffy was that my parking was crooked (straight parking, not parallel) but since the lines aren't visible at this time of year, I'm not too fussed about it.

I mean, it wasn't too bad considering I was a ball of panic while on the major roads. But. Anyway.

I need to book a lesson... My mother keeps telling me not to, which is fucking weird as far as I see it. I mean, wouldn't it be more reasonable to encourage me to get as much professional assistance as possible, provided I can afford it? And I can afford it (even though I hate dropping that much cash in one go on something I don't even enjoy). I just don't get it. Oh well.

It's hard to work around scheduling, but I'll figure something. Wonder if I should wait until the roads are all clear, so the parking bits will be easier to do properly... hmm.

I'm just so sick of this.

I recommend booking the lesson. For me, having a professional instructor made a difference.

Ugh, slush sucks and invisible lane markings REALLY suck. D: ALL SYMPATHIES.

Go with your instincts, book the lesson if you think you need it. Also I don't think you should wait until the roads are clearer. You should be able to drive in any weather (within reason) so any terrible road conditions = a great practice opportunity for you.

(Also I still find it weird that they let you drive without a license with just your parents in the car. We don't have that here. It's mandatory to book lessons anytime you want to drive before you have your license. Not saying one system is better than the other, just a random side note.)

Blech, driving in winter sucks because of the invisible lanes and attempting to park without guides. Boo to all of that.
