zzzZZZ + Reading Wednesday
Feb. 28th, 2018 09:36 pmSo... tired... I decided "Oh, instead of walking, I'll take my third transfer, it'll probably be faster!"
There is a reason that I always walk the last portion of my commute. It takes 20 minutes, but I still get home before the bus comes around. The bus is not faster.
Don't know what the hell I was thinking.
Anyway, very quick Reading Wednesday -
Just finished: Sunshine & Clay by Kamilah Aisha Moon. Poetry collection by a writer I'm not familiar with. The first section in the collection is politically charged and very stirring; the rest didn't leave much of an impression on me. But I might try er work again some other time.
Currently Reading: The Witches of New York by Ami McKay. Witchcraft + 19th-century New York City? Fun premise, and what's more, I love it so far. Finding it hard to put down, really. I've read one of the author's other novels, The Birth House, and loved that too, so it was only a matter of time before I picked this one up.
Reading next: The Break by Katherena Vermette, a Metis author from Manitoba. Don't know much about this novel, only heard that it's good; will report back later. ;V
