Considering the possibility of using eggshell for witchcraft purposes. Hmmm....

A lot of things I come across require creating something that then needs to be disposed of. Either it requires the creation of some sort of object (including the use of non-biodegradable material), or it's made up of organic material that can't safely be disposed of in a ritual setting. I don't like either of these general ideas, and they really aren't convenient for me.

...I mean, it's the same sort of problem I've come across with "bury your offerings" advice - I can't do that! It'd attract bears!

Eggshell, though. Hmm. If an egg is properly emptied and dried, and then when disposed of the shell is crushed or powdered... That has possibilities, because even if you scatter it in the forest it wouldn't leave anything that would attract wildlife (insects yes; bears, probably not), and it wouldn't create some sort of material thing that you have to be responsible for.

General thought - the use of blown eggs to create symbols/words of intent... I like that. Symbols/inscriptions using wax-resist method, coloured with nontoxic dye, and then powdered and scattered in ritual. Environmentally friendly, doesn't leave a mess to clean up.

Similar, I guess, to when people write things down and then burn the paper - but I just can't be having with fire hazards, man. Plus, it's not very #aesthetic, is it. ;p ;p Or, I guess it's someone's aesthetic, but it ain't mine. Heh.

There's also something very appealing about the idea of ritual object/spell object tied to... well, consuming something that goes into the creation of it. Because of course, I do eat the egg when I blow the shell out. Waste not, want not. Something-something-something intent/symbolism/whatever.

Aaanyway. I'm not going to think about this too deeply right now, but just scribbling it down as a possibility for later. HmmmMMMmm....
