I'm generally not an AU person at all, but apparently VME is my exception fandom. Well, okay, primarily for "What if so-and-so was involved with Galdoune" scenarios, which admittedly fit in with canon, even if they aren't what I would classify as canon-divergent.

But then there's stuff like werewolf!Roberto and. Yes. I like that.

Or perhaps - witch!Roberto. And by witch I mean benandante!Roberto, specifically. Because I have... mumble, mumble, niche interests. (Shh.) I have no idea what kind of plot that would even have; it's just some self-indulgent nonsense.

AND THAT IDEA that someone had where both Hiraga and Roberto are aliens, trying to blend in. And each is unaware that the other is also an alien, trying to blend in. It would sure explain some of their eccentricities. :D

But speaking of Galdoune!Whoever AU: someone brought up the idea of Julia/Galdoune!Bill and holy shit I'm here for that. I mean, Bill is a rather... he has that sort of unquestioning loyalty that Julia would find appealing.

Though now that I consider, regular Bill/Julia also sounds good. It would take a bit more work, but it would be interesting, especially if it involved Julia being very... eh, manipulative? And Bill just getting drawn into his spider's web of tacky cultist bullshit. I could see it, considering Bill is rather, um, naive/oblivious/take your pick. (How do you NOT notice that your father is not your father and also he's involved with the Illuminati???)

But mostly I just think it would be hot, I confess. IDK man, they would look good together?

(Julia/Lauren would also be hot. All that long hair, man. Though that would certainly be... something... as a duo, hoo boy.)

Speaking of Bill, he kind of reminds me of Hetalia Germany, and I don't know how to feel about this. ;p

Anyway.

Also VME-wise I have this... desire... for something set in Canada. Like, they go investigate some kind of miracle in Drumheller, and instead uncover some secret fossil-smuggling operation or something.

Or maybe something riffing off Rare Birds: they go to Newfoundland, where there are reports that an extinct bird has been brought back to life (that's the miracle). The actuality? Galdoune has been cloning Great Auks. ...Or something. ;p

Or maybe something set in Northern Alberta; I mean, Galdoune has already shown it has connections to the oil industry, so... (Hard to imagine anything miraculous happening up here, though. Even fake-miraculous. ;V )

I just want to stuff some gratuitous Canadian scenery into the glorious mess that is VME, okey. (And hey, if we can have FBI agents running around alongside our priests, why not RCMP? Or even CSIS? :D )

Veering a bit away from that, I've been thinking about Weiss Kreuz + VME crossover. And it fits. So well. Aya-chan waking and being functional and coherent after being so long in a coma would definitely be miraculous, even without considering all of the mysterious circumstances! Also, you've got the whole conspiracy/cult/supernatural weirdness going on, considering Estet and their experiments and so on. (Estet and Galdoune: Collaborators? Rivals? HMM)

...Anyway, I'm not going to write ANYTHING because I still need to work on that straitjacket fic. Also, erotic organ-stroking. That's not the sort of thing I would have expected to be on the to-write table, considering the characters are ordinary human beings and usually I prefer to reserve that for immortals, but let's say perhaps that Hiraga's mind is a strange place. Whatever, I'll take it. Bring on the fantasies of consensual, painless, temporary vivisection. :D

It has come to my attention that in the novels there is a bit in which Julia crossdresses and. Oh man. I am so here for this. Apparently it's during some kind of masquerade dealio. (We also almost got Hiraga in a dress, but that did not come to pass, alas). ...And now I have a mighty need for something with him getting banged in a dress, I don't even care by who. While wearing high heels, plz. Yes.

HE'S JUST SO RIDICULOUSLY DRAMATIC of course it would be Red And Fancy. Also, he'd probably be the sort to wear nail polish with real 24k gold in it and everything. (But the question is, would he wear plain gold, or gold flake over an eye-catching solid? Decisions, decisions.) Oh my god Julia, you glorious, tacky, gorgeous asshole.
