After reading the rundown/partial fan-translation for VME book 6* I find myself hoping that there will be a season 2, because this is some seriously cracked out stuff. Bless the individual who put that run-through up.



Re: season 2, I was talking with my mate Keltainen on this, who pointed out that considering the unexpected amount of merch, it wouldn't be out of the question to think it might happen. Essentially, "It's possible. Don't get your hopes up, though."

Anyway. As for Book 6 -

TINY BLACK HOLE AS A MURDER WEAPON. SEANCES. THE ILLUMINATI. Aliens would have made more sense!

Also, Dr Walker is cool. I'd like to see more of her.

And I really love that bit where Hiraga resolves to defeat ghosts with SCIENCE in Roberto's honour. Oh, Hiraga, I adore you.

And hooo boy that bit where Julia is flirtatiously menacing Roberto... that sure was a thing. I like it. Yes, please, more.

I find it kind of funny - had Julia turned out to be exactly as he first presented himself, all lovely and angelic, he probably would have been my top fav, or close, because I have A Type (well, several types, shh.) But as he actually is, I'm torn between "DUDE what the fuck is up with you, chill please" and "oh my god you tacky gorgeous failboat of a villain, yes please, continue". ...Yeahhhh anyway.

AND THE BIT WHERE VISIONS OF HIRAGA LEAD ROBERTO TO SAFETY good gods what even is this series, it's so... like, their relations are just so very intense, and it's wonderful. I love it.

I have a lot of vague FEELINGS re: the Lauren reveal at the end of this, but I think I'm going to hold off processing them until I read the details for the novel that (apparently) deals with that, which this same person has so helpfully posted. Mainly my ~feelings~ are tied to the fact that Hiraga thinks Lauren will try to contact him, anyhow.

Man, I wish I could read these novels myself, rather than relying on notes and summaries that other people put up on tumblr and pastebin and whatever else. Eesh. (Ah, well, I really appreciate that people do this, because... me learning Japanese ain't gonna happen.)
