yuuagoUgh. Was talking with one of my coworkers about the rent market. She's apartment-searching, so I asked her what sort of prices she's seen around for one-room apartments. The amount she quoted was less than ideal. I could make it work, but....
Then again, she's looking for a two-bedroom, so it's possible she wasn't paying very close attention to the one-bedroom stuff. And there are other factors - for example, she isn't from around here, so her idea of an okay place to live might not necessarily line up with my impressions. Also, we have a very different approach to... well, literally everything.
And it's possible that, after the place I lived in when I was in grad school, anything would be better. Mice and silverfish and drunks banging on my door, oh my. It was a pretty sketchy place.
But I shouldn't even be worrying about this right now, because I still don't have my driver's license. One thing at a time.
I have a lot of stuff on my mind as of late, and I don't really want to talk about any of it.
