FTH Charity Auction

All right, so -

Fandom Trumps Hate is a fandom charity auction that ran last year, and it was really successful. It's running again this year. Signups are open from now until December 29th.

Last year, people offered to do fic and art, and podfic too, as well as a whole bunch of other things, like beta services and translations... it was pretty neat. And of course there were a whole bunch of different fandoms offered.

I've decided to sign up this year! I'll be offering three slots - two for fic (for SSSS, aRTD, or Hetalia), and one for beta services (basic proofreading in any fandom).

Since I can't do long fic, I've set my offers to "under 5k", which should be manageable, I think.

Maybe some of you would like to sign up too?

I think I'm gonna sign up for it this year. Probably 2 auctions -- one for Gangsta fic and one for betaing.

This sounds so great and I really want to, but my mental health lately as well as problematic living situation have been making it impossible for me to make art and I've flaked on some obligations already (will make up for them as soon as I'm able to, ofc). Maybe I should sign up anyway, since I'll apparently have most of next year to finish whatever I auction? I'll have to think about it and try to make realistic predictions (which I'm not good at).

Yeah, you do have most of the year to finish, which is pretty neat (though I find sometimes I don't do well with long deadlines, myself. Then again, that's exchanges, and this is different...). But if you haven't been doing well re: brain stuff, mm... Upside, you have a couple weeks to decide.

If you end up doing it I'll definitely bid on you, though. :D

I'm still on the fence about offering, but I'll probably bid on something. (I'm not sure what to offer other than fic, but maybe if I only offered short fic...? Then again, my '2~5k' offer from FLPR turned into 10k.)

I signed up! One slot for beta-reading, one for fanart. I'm a little nervous because I offered for any fandom, since the ones I actually create content for are so small. But I figure I don't need to know a fandom to beta, really, especially for spelling/grammar, and I said in the fanart one that I need a reference. (And also I was pretty clear about not drawing stuff that I can't draw or that squicks me, so...hopefully it'll work out).

Ahhh awesome! I'm definitely going to bid on you. \:D/ Ffff you're playing it wild offering "any", though I suppose it's doable if you have a reference. As long as you were clear about your Will Not Do for it, I think you'll be fine?

Heh, yeah, it's kinda risky. But I also only offered up to a teen rating for that one, so hopefully I won't be getting the kinds of people who want weird porn or whatever. (And I was very clear about no nudity, or sex, or graphic violence, or gore, and a few more of the specific things I always put as DNWs for exchanges, so it should be all right). But yesss, I'd be excited to draw obscure nonsense for you if you do win! I also mentioned that I'm fine drawing OCs, so that's a thing. ^_^
