It has suddenly occurred to me that one of the reasons I find it so hard to get out of bed in the morning as of late, aside from the typical things relating to my backseat-driving brain, existential dread, and the general state of life, the universe, and everything, is... because I have been wearing summer-weight pyjamas to bed, like an ass.

I sure am a bright one. IT'S COLD IN THE MORNING. No wonder it's so hard to drag my carcass out from under those quilts, geeze....

Speaking of cold, aughhh everything is so DRY, I feel like my face is going to crack and fall off. I've resorted to applying maracuja oil Directly To Face, which is quite a thing because I normally don't use it at all - I find it's normally more than what I need - but hoooo boy. WINTER. IT'S DRY. YES INDEED.

...Which just reminds me that every time I get my nails done out of town (in Victoria, usually) I get reactions of ":O Your skin is so dry!!" Ma'am, I could drink five fuckin' litres of water per day, and moisturize constantly, and it still wouldn't be enough.

Why do I live here again?

Oof, I feel you on the dryness - my face doesn't usually have any problems, but my cuticles would give that nail technician (that's the right word for that job, yes? Maybe?) nightmares. I basically have to apply Extra Strength Healing Or Whatever lotion to my hands every night for like...well basically from when it starts getting cold to when it stops. Otherwise they crack and bleed and all kinds of nastiness. (Fuck winter so much, ugh).
