Oh Duolingo, oh you. It just had me translating the sentence "My husband does not eat children". I... am sure phrase that will be very useful, yes. Wouldn't want anyone to mistake my hypothetical husband for a troll. (Well, at least it's a change from bears drinking beer and spiders eating turtles and whatever such nonsense.)

My internet connection is absolute ass right now. If some god is trying to tell me to get the fuck off the internet, they're going about it in the most annoying way possible.

(Or maybe the modem is haunted. Who knows.)

I'm in one of those moods where I'm sitting in a room full of books and going "I HAVE NOTHING TO READ". But of course I do have plenty to read, it's just that most of it isn't stuff that I feel like reading. So.

I've been reading voraciously as of late, mostly because I don't have the brain power or energy to be doing anything else. It's annoying - I would rather be writing - but eh. Eh.

Barely seen any daylight this whole fucking week. I think it's making me a little bit cranky.

I first read that as "spider-eating turtles", which...makes slightly more sense than what it actually said. And hey, if the Rash comes, then you might need to be able to understand it if someone tells you about their non-children-eating husband! :D

You did inspire me to go look at my Duolingo account—it's been well over a year since I last logged on. Probably closer to two years, actually... It tried to claim that I was only 7% fluent now, ha, but then I took one of those massive quizzes to get my percentage back up to a much more respectable number.

German! I'm conversant, but not fluent, to my eternal shame. (It was technically my first language—my parents are/were from Germany—but at some point in elementary/middle school I stopped using it and then forgot everything. /o\ Hence the shame.)
