So, there's an easter egg referencing Small Trolls in page 04 of Tistow. It completely went over my head the first time I saw the page, but then Elli pointed it out, and now I'm internally screaming.

(Second down from the top right. Look closely at Jáhko's coin bag...)

It's such a small, tiny thing, but it just made me so ridiculously happy.

So, the bag is obviously Veeti's (<3!!) but now I'm wondering about the exact circumstance by which Jáhko came to have it. A gift is the most likely explanation, but the details of the scenario, hmm....

It isn't in Jáhko's colours, and it has Veeti's initials on it. So. Unplanned parting gift? "I don't want you to go, and I hate thinking about it, but it's inevitable, and you're leaving now, oh no - here, take this, at least you'll find it useful"?

Or perhaps it was actually planned - and intended as not just something useful for Jáhko's travels but as a reminder of Veeti in particular, hence the initials and so on - NEVER MIND ME I have a one-track shipping brain [/cough] (mind you even from a Best Pals angle, that would be very sweet) (though perhaps a bit too sappy) (very very sappy)

Or maybe he's had it for quite a while now, long before he left, for some reason or other.

Come to think of it, I have no idea how much warning Veeti would have had before Jáhko left; I don't think I've seen details about that anywhere. Depending on how much (or how little) time he would have had... well... Your best friend leaving to start a new life very far away is going to be awful no matter what, but there's a world of difference between "I'm leaving next month", "I'm leaving in two weeks", and "I'm leaving tomorrow". HMM... something to think about, anyway.

Sooo I'm probably going to be rolling around over all of this for the next few days... xD Sounds good to me~~~
