Ugh, no matter what, every time I'm about to go someplace, I tend to be filled with these feelings of... "This is so inconvenient, I really don't feel like going, I'd rather just stay here".

Which is stupid.

I just really, really hate packing... and airports... and so on. Then again, I don't know many people who do enjoy all that.

(And it's always so hard not to overpack, too. Self, you're only going for a week, keep that in mind.)

I actually love airports! (well, minus the terrorist attack anxiety that comes with them lately... but I can keep that under control). Maybe because flying is so rare for me. Whenever I manage to put aside enough money for a long distance trip like that, it's definitely something special. There's also something about the spacious and clever architecture, and being anonymous in a crowd (that's less chaotic than a busy city street), and just all the technology that keeps everything going. And the planes themselves! My sci-fi loving mind feels at home and excited with all that.

Packing can go to hell though.

Ahhh yeah, if they're a novelty, then I can see how that would be different. Guess I've just flown enough times now that I'm thoroughly sick of them. xD Funny how you say there is less chaos than a city street... it's the exact opposite for me, probably just because my home city is so small, and it's usually not busy at all. So the amount of people in one place is kind of overwhelming.

I've also had some not-so-great experiences, which probably feeds into my dislike. Twice I've stayed overnight in an airport because my flight was so delayed that there was no way to make the transfer. Not very much fun at all. xD

Anyway. OOH, ANASTASIA. Man, that's a good film. Ages since I've seen it, though. Nostalgia~

Ah yeah, I've never had that happen with airports yet. I did have to spend the night in a train station a couple of times though, and that has decreased my enjoyment of them, so I see where you're coming from.

Also, I live in a densely populated city with a tiny airport (and the other airports I've visited have been tame as well) so I guess our experiences are totally opposite :D

Anyway, I hope the preparations go well and you get to have a lovely time on holiday. You deserve it several times over!

*pats* I feel you, packing is the WORST. I am the world's most anxious mess when packing, and the recent trip to Europe reached new heights of crazy (Like. Seriously. I did not need to test pack my suitcase two weeks ahead of time. And I ended up having WAY more space than I needed and was never even close to the weight limit. Calm down, Kiraly).

I hope you have a lovely trip though! I usually find that once I'm on my way, any nerves or regrets about traveling tend to get drowned by excitement.
