This weekend has been an emotional roller coaster for a whole lot of people. I'm including myself in that.

It's been nice seeing pictures from the Women's Marches in the USA and around the world - including Canada. My insides felt a little tight when I saw the photos from Halifax and Saskatoon. Apparently there was one in Wolfville, too. I wish I could have attended (man, I miss that place so much). I hear the turnout in Calgary and Edmonton was huge.

Nothing happened in Fort Mac. Surprise, surprise. Man, this place....

I'm giving myself permission to paint my nails, and work on fic, and not worry about catching up with anybody or being social or anything for the rest of the night. I feel like I'm in a huge funk, and I need to reset.

There have been so many great photos - the Melbourne march looked really positive, which was awesome. I couldn't go, but I wore a hat.

Hope your funk lifts soon. Hope the nails went well and smoothly.

AHH yeah the ones from Melbourne were really great! Those are the ones I've been seeing the most, aside from the USA. So nice. <3

If it's not too intrusive: What colours do you normally paint your nails?

Any colour! I have about a million different ones and I like to change them frequently (wearing polish is pretty much the only way I can stop myself from biting my nails, so...). My favourites are dark purple, or green, or black with glitter, or gold, or deep sparkly red, or... xD

Right now they're just a transparent neutral because I decided I couldn't be bothered to do any post-painting cleanup.

I bet it looks awesome! And I admire your courage - from what I have heard from you about your hometown it seems to be a quite heteronormative kind of town..? That can't always be easy. *hugs*

Neat nails is something that completly eludes me; I'm too lazy and clumsy (after-polish clean-up, you say it! also chipping) but I actually would like to have neat nails. *sighs* Seems I have to get rich and pay people for that. ;D

My town is bloody stupid, but nobody cares about my nails, especially after I give the nailbiting explanation. xD

Hmm if you wanted to try it, maybe it'd be best to just do a clear coat? That way the chipping doesn't show.
