yuuagoMaaan... today was a bust. Well, okay, that's not fair. It wasn't a bad day. Stuff just didn't go how I wanted. It didn't, y'know, go wrong.
Slept in too late. Had to run to catch the bus downtown. Was the only one at writing club today. Didn't get much written, because I couldn't pay attention. Wanted to switch my knitting needles from DPNs to straights, but I don't have straights in the proper size. And this entire weekend has been a little bit blah, anyway.
...Well. Okay, here's what went right:
✿ Had lunch at the cafe before heading to the library, and it was delicious. Felt nice to chill and read by a sunny window while having some really, really good coffee. And the sandwiches at that place, jesus. I'm not even quite sure what they put in them, but they sure are something.
✿ Found a really cool-sounding book on the history of film when I was at the library. I've been meaning to read more nonfiction, and this is a subject that really interests me, so I'm totally looking forward to it. AND I also found out where they keep the native poetry - it's tucked in a weird place - didn't pick any up today, since I already have several books checked out, but I'm really looking forward to taking a closer look.
✿ I didn't get a lot written today, but I did get something done, and that's better than nothing.
