It suddenly occurred to me that, since I'm spending nearly every weekend at the library anyway, I should just... get a library card. Because there are a lot of books out there that I want to read, but don't want to pay for. There is an easy solution to this, self.
Though I probably wouldn't be doing it if not for this writing club that I'm in. Getting to the library is such a pain in the ass. But, since I'll be there anyway....
Downside: Most of the stuff I want to read at the library is in hardcover. I hate hardcovers! They're so heavy! ... Especially some of the stuff I've really had my eye on (there's this one biography of Vincent van Gogh that looks amazing but it's like, huge. It probably weighs like five pounds. Okay, I exaggerate.)
... This post brought to you by all the interesting discussions I've read lately centred around novels that I'm curious about but not enough to want to pay for. And reads of stuff by authors that I like but not enough to own the books, necessarily (Rice, Lackey, King... need I go on).
