I HATE KNITTING

Well, okay, I don't actually hate knitting, but I guess I should just... not do it when I'm tired.

I've been trying to start these mittens for hours and I kept getting two rows in and wondering what's wrong with it because it was way too small even though the gauge was correct and then I realized....

I only cast on half of the stitches that I needed.

I'm too tired for this nonsense.

Ugh, I won't say I haven't done the crochet version of this, the moral of which is 'COUNT YOUR STITCHES I DON'T CARE HOW RIGHT IT LOOKS.'

Count your stitches, and also read the instructions. Again. Even if you read them twice, two days ago.

Because 24 stitches is not enough to make a mitten, wtf self, I don't know what was wrong with me. (24 is the length for the swatch. The swatch!!!)

... I'm going to try again in the morning. :'D
