Current state of active wips:
✿ Treat for![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
trickortreatex: Drafted and typed! ... Needs lots of work, but it's drafted and typed. Revision/expansion will be a breeze. (This is what happens when you post your letters super early, everyone! It means folks can get a head start... ;D )
✿ aRTD Kuikka Twins vs Hannu fic: Drafted! Not typed! Probably going to need lots of revision; I think that I need to adjust the way I wrote Hannu's characterization a little. (He's not angry enough!) But we'll see what happens after I type it up.
✿ SSSS prologue fic for Solo: 3/4 of the way drafted, I think! Not typed yet, of course. Argh, I am either going to need to cut some stuff out, or add some stuff in to the earlier parts. It's feeling unbalanced. But I guess I'll have to see how I feel about it once the draft is finished. Man, this is the longest I've ever taken with a tumblr request fic, oh dear (I hope she doesn't think I've forgotten about it). On the other hand, it's probably the longest tumblr request fic I've written - judging by the handwritten pages, depending on how much length-revision I do, it'll be in the 1.5-2k range. Which isn't a very long fic, true, but it's much longer than the ficlets I usually write for tumblr requests. This is what happens when people give me super-broad prompts! Well, actually at first I was like "wtf how would I write that?" but then I was like... "OH."
Stuff that I have not started yet:
☆ That aRTD postcanon ghost story. I still have some details in the beginning that I need to suss out before I start writing, which is why I haven't, but I should just... dive in soon, I guess. If it doesn't start out quite right, I can fix it later.
☆ More SSSS prologue fic. Rather, post-prologue, about Michael and Signe. I JUST... I want to write something about them living together and slowly falling in love as the world falls apart.
Non-writing WIPS:
❉ I spent a good deal of time yesterday trying to do a swatch before I start that pair of practice mittens. I COULDN'T GET THE GAUGE RIGHT. EVERYTHING WAS SO LOOSE. Argh. It's possible that I was just knitting badly for whatever reason, as I haven't knitted anything in a year and was rather unpractised. I think what I'll do is, I'll just proceed as normal, since these are for my mum and she always needs her mittens to be a bit larger than average anyway (she tends to wear men's mittens; average women's mittens are too small). And if it's too big, well... I'll just unravel it and start over. I guess. [/facedesk]
It was hella frustrating, though. If I sized down my needles, then I would need... a size that I do not own. And GUESS WHAT, no place in town sells that size in DPNs! Not even Wal-Mart! ... I wonder if I should make a goal - order the sizes I'm missing, and then try to knit this thing up quickly, so that I can see before they arrive whether I'll need the smaller ones or not. Possible? Maybe. (Likely? Uh... I'll get back to you on that.)
