yuuago✿ So, I finally got around to reading the special extra comics for A Redtail's Dream. I'd held off on them for a while because they're unconnected to the main plot aaaand because you have to pay for them. I was going to do it eventually, but then "eventually" became "now", because one of them is postcanon. Downside: the postcanon comic didn't give me any information that I could use in the fic I'm working on. Upside: All four of the extra comics are SUPER CUTE. So, net win.
✿ I've finally found a set of playlists that I'm capable of listening to while writing. Normally, I can't stand listening to anything but ambient noise while working on fic. But I came across a collection of Hindustani sitar music on 8tracks and holy hell, not only is this stuff awesome, but I can also write while I listen to it. Looks like I just needed to find the right kind of classical music, heh.
✿ Managed to get some significant work done on a fic draft. Feels good! Still need to poke at it, though, so I'm going to sit on it for a while. I'm really frustrated by the fact that my endings are always really weak. Generally, I can picture the scene that I want to use to end it, but actually finishing - it's difficult, because what I see would work better as a comic, but I'm not doing comics. Finding the right phrases for the exact end of the fic, I mean. It's hard. Leaving aside the rare occasions where I know precisely what phrase I want to end on, that is. Only happened once or twice.
✿ Mannn I really need to stop accidentally falling asleep on weekends. It's partly on account of the heat, I think; I was not built for anything above 25C, ugh. All I really want to do is curl up in the basement in the dark and sleep when the weather is like this.
