Finished reading the Battle Royale manga last night. I now feel refreshed enough to prepare for the anonmeme version of it, haa. ... Sounds kind of weird when you put it that way. I mean, roleplaying Hetalia nations in a Battle Royale on an anon meme? What? Times like this I realize just how odd my corner of the fandom is.
I just found out that the Buskers Festival is going to be going on during my stay in Victoria. Should be pretty interesting. I love that kind of thing, but busking doesn't have any presence where I currently live, so it'll be nice to experience that.
Can't fucking wait for my vacation. I'm going to write so many things, and hopefully do a final cleanup of "Matters of Attraction", and maybe do some research for a historical fic though I don't know which one, and... maybe some original stuff, even if it's that Yuriy/Jacques story that I want to do which actually takes place after their main story. Yeah.
... And I'm going to do some shopping and sightseeing and stuff too, of course - but but but. Writing! And my hotel is practically across the street from the public library, ahhh. It might not seem like a big deal, but I haven't been able to go to a library since I left college because the one in my town is a pain in the ass to get to. It'll be nice to just go there for a couple hours and write and be surrounded by books and peace and quiet.
I've been feeling really negative lately because of the people around me, and it's a frustrating situation. I don't want to feel angry and sad all the time, but when you're around people who are constantly talking down to you and swearing at you and saying things to belittle you, your intelligence, your interests, and your appearance, it's... hard. It's really, really hard to stay positive. It gets to the point where I would rather be at work than be at home, even if work is kind of draining.
Well... maybe after vacation I'll be recharged and better equipped to deal with all this.
