Well. Nordipalooza will be launching soon. Last day for signups is Sunday. So, I really need to be working on getting everything in place that I'll need. It looks like it might be a slightly smaller turnout than last year, but that's okay. Considering the fandom seems to be a little bit smaller than it has been in the past, it's to be expected.

I've started doing preliminary research for a long fic that I want to write. The idea kind of slapped me upside the head while reading Jo Nesø's Headhunters, though it doesn't actually have much to do with the novel, just an author referenced in it. The research for this project will be... quite long, so obviously I'm not going to drop my other projects to work on this one - it's going to take a long time. Let's just say that I might need to actually make a bibliography of my sources for this thing. But I'm reluctant to talk about the actual subject because it's a tad sensitive (I don't know about to the general populace, but to me, yes).

Regardless, the research involves reading some novels, which I'm definitely going to look forward to.

Anyway - nothing much is going on lately aside from that. I'll be going to Edmonton in about a week and a half, but since that's not exactly a personal trip, I probably won't get to do anything interesting while I'm there. Well, it's nice to get out of the city once in a while, anyway.

Unrelated: Recently downloaded Semagic in order to update without having to go to the update page because man, the new update page sucks. Lags like hell and can't keep up with my fingers. LJ, I'm not going to slow down my typing speed just for you, okay.
