Goddamn. Okay, this is a to-do list for the week. All fandom-related stuff (everything else, well, that's a different list). Maybe if I post it here, I'll be sure to get everything done!



1. Finish drafting all Eastern Eurofunk stuff before the 16th.
1A. Get Tik & Co to look it over to be sure that it's all understandable.
1B. Post the relevant entries to the comm + tumblr Pages
1C. Post the Signup page on the 18th!
1D. And then crosspost.

2. Finish the Norway rarepair fic.
2B. Edit said fic for style + errors + content per Derp's instructions.
2C. Get Derp to look over it. Make any necessary revisions.
2D. Post it to the kink meme and see what happens.

3. Update the Nordic Index
3A. And also the Baltic Index

4. Catch up on roleplay tags... again
4A. ... and stay caught up.



It's all doable, except maybe finishing that fic. I dunno. But I'm going to try! The fest-related stuff is the most important part, though.

You know, people keep saying that APH fandom has slowed down too much, it's dissolving, it's done - especially on LJ. But... well, I'm still having as much fun as I ever have. I think that's the most important part.

I think the fandom HAS died down, but within my own little bubble of friends, it's still going strong. As long as you're happy with it, who cares? Plus, it's based on countries, and there will always be enough culture/history/current events to keep the hardcore fans entertained or give inspiration for fanworks.

Indeed, indeed! I'm really looking forward to it. (Personally, I'm hoping for some Baltic gen [/crosses fingers] And maybe some stuff with Romania too, he's really grown on me) Eastern Europe was the first group I fell in love with, and even though I'm mostly into Nordics now, they're still close to my heart. *_*

Oh yes, the fandom certainly has slowed down since I first got into it in early 2009 - but it isn't as if it's dead, which is what I keep hearing people saying. Man, if this is dead, then I'd be amused to hear what some of my other fandoms would be, heh. I guess I just get frustrated hearing people go on as if the sky is falling or something, just because it's slower than it used to be.

And you're exactly right about that - since it's based on countries, there'll always be material for inspiration, regardless of whether we get new strips or not. (And we will get new stuff, from what I hear about there being a vol.05 in the works... it's just that things aren't coming as steadily as they used to be. Well, that's fine with me.)

The Eastern family is probably the group I'm the least involved in, tbh. I like some of the nations, but I haven't seen much fanwork that does them justice. And most of the time, I'm too busy fangirling over the Nordics/South Italy/France to look very hard. >>;

I actually missed the high point of the fandom because I got into hetalia so late. (2-ish yrs ago, only seriously starting liking it about 1 yr ago) But you're so right-- if this is a "dying" fandom, the rest of my fandoms must be fossils by now. xD

I hadn't heard anything about new eps (comic strips?) but that is fantastic news. Even if it doesn't come out for ages, I think I'd be ok. The release of season 4 is all I needed, since that one has all my favorite episodes/jokes/characters.

Oh - I mean volume 5 of the manga, just to be clear, sorry! I don't follow the anime series; I just couldn't get into it (but I don't have much attention span for anime in general, so).
