yuuagoOh lawd.
SO. WE WENT ON A BOAT. And by that what I mean is that on Friday night we took the boat to Turku. Got there eeeaaarly Saturday morning. Met up with Diplopod and Uniaamu and Minninen, which turned out to be great - and nowhere near as awkward as I expected. Wonderful!
There was a lot of walking involved. A lot of walking. Up to the art gallery, and then down to the castle... they're nowhere near each other so it was quite a distance to cover. And o lawd. That castle. It was REALLY COOL but... man. The stairs. Zillions of stairs. And I got a lot of photos but I have a feeling that half of them didn't turn out at all because of the low light, whoops. Anyway, it was really nice to meet everyone and get an idea of who I'd be travelling with. :Va Now that we all know each other, everything will go smoothly.
So, yesterday. Sea and I got back in Stockholm at the asscrack of dawn. Slept for a few hours, then went out to do some sightseeing. ... Originally we didn't plan on doing much walking, since we'd gotten our fill of that in Turku, but then we got the brilliant idea to go to Skansen :V Which was quite awesome but probably not so good for our feet, not after walking around there all day too. But it was worth it, I think. ^q^ Especially since it was such a nice day.
Today... consisted of snooping around again while Sea was at work. Well, perfectly fine with me. It was a nice day and I got a few more photos and I explored some parts of downtown + old town that I hadn't previously. Had considered going to a museum but instead decided to get all of my family-related shopping out of the way. Now it's done, and I don't have to think about their gifts any more, which is wonderful. (Also picked up the obligatory Dalahäst for myself. Because... obligatory. And they're cute.) Aside from that... more bad photos, more enjoying the lovely weather and scenery, while at the same time trying to not overdo myself with the walking.
I don't know what the hell I did to my knee while I was in Turku, but it hurts like a mofo and I'm just like 8| MAN. I'm just going to try to take things easy for the rest of the week because I don't want it to be too fucked up when we go and do more travelling.
